My name is Ashley Kathryn Herrera. I am a senior at Louisiana State University majoring in mass communication with a concentration in public relations and minoring in business. I have worked hard to maintain a 3.9 GPA throughout all four years of college, all the while working 20 plus hours a week.

I enjoy meeting new people and work well under pressure. This has been very beneficial in my major. My passion for learning has helped me to develop all the necessary skills that have helped me to succeed.

I currently have an internship with The Bone and Joint Clinic in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, which is an orthopedic clinic with 14 specialized physicians. I love working in the health care industry because I enjoy working with people, helping others, and learning as I go. The internship has been a rewarding experience knowing that I can be of assistance to those in need.

 

I will graduate in May 2018. I am eager to put all the skills that I have learned throughout my college studies to work. My biggest goal in public relations is to continue to be employed with a business that represents clients in the health care industry. I am looking forward to this new and exciting opportunity that awaits me.
